Recidivism Data
Data shown here represent the one-year recidivism rates of youth under court-ordered probation supervision, and youth released from committed placement. Rates are shown for a new arrest, an arrest resulting in juvenile or adult court adjudication or conviction, and those that result in a new out of home placement or incarceration. For more information please see the Recidivism section of the DJS Data Resource Guide.
Helpful hints on using Qlik dashboards
Some data labels may not be presented if the amounts are small. In a chart, you can hover your mouse over the bar or point you’d like to see, and the value will show. You can also hover over the top right corner of the chart and select the “Full Screen” icon with two arrows to maximize the size of the item.
Filters, in the yellow boxes, allow you to select subsets of the data. The blue box at top left on each dashboard page shows what filters are selected. The subtitles for each chart also show your selected filters, as do the titles for certain boxed “KPI” measures in the dashboard. The master filters of race, gender, and county apply to all datasets in the dashboards when selected. Some dashboards have other filters as well that apply only to those datasets.
To protect the identities of DJS youth, DJS suppresses data from being reported when there are fewer than 5 intake cases in a category. The footnote at the bottom of the chart indicates what data suppression is happening. Note that if there are 0 cases, the category will simply not show up and will not be shown as suppressed.
